Unveiling the Journey: Meet the Face Behind the Passion

I'm Liyana Md Yusof, and I am so glad you’ve found me! Welcome to my little corner in the digital world.
As the founder of The One With Oils, and also a Silver Leader in Young Living, I've found a profound passion for wellness and a mission to empower others, particularly mothers, to lead healthier, more abundant lives. My story is one of overcoming challenges, embracing change, and discovering the incredible impact of holistic wellness.
From Childhood Struggles to Triumphs
My path has been shaped by adversity and resilience. Growing up, I was incredibly active and engaged in sports like Netball, Athletics, and Silat. However, my dreams were hindered by asthma, which limited my stamina and prevented me from fully participating in these activities. This condition also affected my self-esteem and impacted my learning during my early school years.
Amidst these challenges, I found solace and inspiration in the guidance of a dedicated teacher who believed in me. She was my form teacher from Primary 4 to Primary 6 and through her mentorship, it ignited a passion for education within me, sparking a dream to become a teacher myself. I graduated from National Institute of Education (NIE) in 2011 and landed myself my dream job (or so, I thought) as a Primary school educator.
Navigating Life's Twists and Turns
Little did I know that teaching in Singapore is extremely fast-paced. As a teacher, you are expected to hold multiple hats, head numerous projects and communities, on top of your teaching load. (Hats off to all teachers in service!). Life took an unexpected turn when I faced a demanding pregnancy in 2017. Balancing the needs of my firstborn (he was 3 years old then), a challenging pregnancy, and my teaching responsibilities left me feeling exhausted and stressed. To make matters worse, my childhood asthma returned, but this turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it lead me to explore alternative avenues for relief (aka I didn't want to rely on my Ventolin inhaler while being pregnant)
I had discovered that the candles and synthetic room fragrances I've been using to make my house "smell nice" (just got the keys to my BTO right around that time) could be the reason that my asthma got triggered again. It was during this time of personal exploration that I also stumbled upon essential oils as a safer alternative. In addition to that, I began to research on natural remedies (stumbled upon Ningxia Red) and uncovered the true power of these oils and their potential to support overall wellness. Through diligent research and dedicated learning, I found relief from my asthma, regained my energy AND my house smelled nice too. It was a HUGE win-win-win for me!
Empowerment Through Young Living
In April 2017, I started my journey by purchasing the Premium Starter Kit from Young Living. This decision transformed my life. I delved into the world of natural remedies and embraced the potential for holistic wellness. These oils not only improved my health but also ignited a passion for sharing their benefits with others.
During my maternity leave, I "accidentally" signed up my first Young Living member. It was funny because I didn't even know that I could earn commissions! So imagine my surprise (and delight!) when I received a paycheck the very next month. This unexpected success fueled my desire to share the magic of essential oils with others, particularly mothers like myself, because I could do it, so can they!
A Mission To Empower and Educate
Thus, my mission was born. I wanted to empower mothers to embrace wellness and abundance for themselves and their families. I am a firm believer that prevention is a powerful tool against illness and that there are natural alternatives to traditional treatments. No longer should mothers have to endure endless doctor visits and sleepless nights with sick children.
Alongside with that, I wholeheartedly believe in the transformative power of Young Living's generous compensation plan. By sharing about these essential oils through their personal stories, mothers can not only create a healthier environment for their families but also potentially, experience financial freedom. The ripple effect of this empowerment is immeasurable—transforming lives and fostering a community of wellness and support.

I've embraced the flexibility that comes with sharing these essential oils, allowing me to be fully present for my family while contributing to their well-being and our financial stability.
